Mia: The effect size ranged from about 0.7 up to 1.3 standard deviations, depending on which comparison you look at.

Milo: That's huge. In education research, even 0.3 is considered a meaningful gain. A 0.7 means the average AI-tutored student scored better than roughly seventy-five percent of the control group.
